Property Details
Cat’s Lair is a thoughtfully appointed rustic log cabin with all of the modern amenities. The cabin has 3 bedrooms, all with queen beds and bedding provided. Two bedrooms are located on the first floor and the third is located in a loft on the second floor that also has a queen bed. The loft has room for a pack-n-play or just extra room to spread out. The basement also has a sleeping area with bunk beds for additional guests or the kids. Cat's Lair has a fully stocked kitchen, and two full baths with towels and linens provided. The bathroom on main floor has a tub/shower combo and there is a second full bath in the basement with a shower. An indoor wood burning fire place, an outdoor fire pit, and charcoal grill outside, plus Smart TV, and free WiFi are just a few of the conveniences available in this cozy but well laid out, family friendly cabin. There is a hot tub in the back to relax and enjoy the nature that surrounds you as well as a covered front porch and covered rear deck. It is also pet friendly and a non-smoking cabin.
Scenic Heights is a great neighborhood that abounds with wild life. Take stroll down the wooded road, explore the creek that runs along the back of the property, or just relax and watch the abundant birds. Cat’s Lair is conveniently located and is easy to reach. It is less than 3 miles from Natural Bridge State Park and close to Red River Gorge hiking trails and climbing areas. Cat’s Lair also has a large open yard that is great for family games and your pet.

Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION/REFUNDS: All cancellations are fully refundable less a $50 cancellation fee if cancellation notice is received greater than 30 days before your scheduled check-in date. All cancellations must be made in writing ( email acceptable). For cancellations less than 30 days, Reservation is not refundable (unless dates can be re-booked).
Deposit Policy
PAYMENTS:
RESERVATION DEPOSIT: 50% of the total reservation is required to confirm your reservation (check, cash, credit).
SECURITY DEPOSIT: Any loss or damage to the Natural Bridge Cabin Company property can be deducted from your credit card including but not limited to the following: number of guests exceeds that which is listed on the rental contract, excessive cleaning/laundry or rearranging furniture that has been moved, replacement of missing items from unit (including towels), soiling of towels, linens and carpets, costs of cleaning beyond the normal, costs to replace keys and misuse of items belonging to the property.
PAYMENT: Remaining balance payment is due no later than 30 (thirty) days prior to check-in date. It will be charged to the credit card that we have on file. If payment is not received by the due date, Natural Bridge Cabin Company has the right to cancel the reservation.
Rate varies due to seasonality and holidays.

fun place to stay, with many porches and places to sit and play cards inside or outside! Our elderly cat felt right at home! Kitchen was easy to use ... good coffee makers and dishwasher!
really clean, too ... no insects despite the weather getting cooler, when one expects outside creatures to try to come inside!

We loved staying here my only suggestion is to bring some garbage bags. This cabin is housed for 8 with only one extra garage bag available that we could find ( may have been somewhere we couldn’t find)so we were having to dump small can into large can outside so we could have a garbage bag in the can inside. It is a large can outside so it worked out.

Cat’s Lair has great amenities! But it is not in the woods or secluded. Construction on five new cabins going up behind this one kind of shatters the nature retreat feel. At night it is quiet and feels more secluded, but you are in a neighborhood. We wish we would have known more about the vicinity before we booked. While we had a wonderful time and the cabin itself is basically perfect, we would have elected to stay somewhere more secluded. The hot tub is nice and large, the wood burning fireplace was Amazing, we loved the two bathrooms, comfy beds for everyone, open hang out area, and covered back deck to grill. The fire pit & large yard were also great! I would recommend bringing extra TP if you have more than 4 women staying more than 2 nights. Oh and say hi to Leslie Jo in the office— she is so nice & helpful! Firewood at the office is also very affordable.

We had 7 adults and a preteen and had room for everyone. There is only one TV in the basement, which was not an issue for us., but I don’t catch that in the listing. There is a propane grill on the back covered deck. It ended up snowing while we were there, which was amazing, but we didn’t get to enjoy the outside much. Was drafty and cold downstairs since it was so cold out, but there were plenty of extra blankets and the younger adults had no issues down there. Gravel road access was a bit tight, but when dry, no issues for anyone. Make sure you use provided map as GPS will not take you there. Kitchen had plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. This was overall a great place to stay and we hope to rent from Red River Gorge Cabin Rentals again in the future.

I’ve been coming to the red for 5 years and this stay was the first time staying in an actual house instead of camping - I will never go back! Cabin was cozy and lovely, clean and had everything we needed. Location is fantastic for restaurants and outdoor activities, and the hot tub is great after a long day of climbing!

Wonderful property. Check-in was easy. The host responded immediately to messages. Everything was in working order (hot tub, grill, fireplace). We really enjoyed our stay. We had teenagers/kids with us and they appreciated the wifi and the smart tv. There is another cabin across the street. You can't see it from the listing pictures or on google maps. But the back deck was secluded and we didn't notice we had neighbors. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. The property was well maintained and tastefully decorated. I was really happy with how clean everything was. There is no washer/dryer but we had enough extra linens and towels, even for using the hot tub. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay with our 3 kids (and could have had space for more!) The place was better than expected-it was well stocked with towels, lots of blankets and even coffee. It was nice to have a yard where our kids threw a football and a large fire pit where we roasted marshmallows. We’ll definitely be back!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Cat’s Lair for an April weekend. The house was great at accommodating our group of 6, and while the upstairs living room is smaller, we had no problem co-living in the cabin for 4 days. The hot tub was hot and clean, and the house had extra spices, ample cookware, and a propane grill to make our stay super easy. As it’s a cabin in the woods, there are some bugs that made their way in, but the house was cleaned thoroughly and was the best cabin I’ve stayed at in the area. Finally, the mattresses are awesome - we all slept great. Thank you for a great weekend!

This cabin was the perfect place for my friends and I. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space for all of us. The cabin was very clean when we arrived and was stocked with everything we needed-spices, oils, dishes, blankets and games too. We had such a great time and would suggest this cabin to others.
