Kentucky Sunshine Toggle favorite

The KY Sunshine Cabin is in a perfect location, right in the heart of the RRG. The cabin sits on a private road which adds an element of privacy and a woodsy feel. We had everything we needed in this cabin. Also, so grateful they allow dogs! Do, however, be aware that the cabin feels a bit rustic.

Nice cabin. We did enjoy our stay everything worked as it should have. We would stay here again. Rent this one to relax and get away it has wi fi but only one small TV so no TV in bed but the one has a amazing channel lineup.

This place was in the heart of red river gorge. Very close to breakfast and the gas station too. It was nice going on a long hike, and coming back to the hot tub and relaxing.

Great cabin. Nice and clean. Loved the hot tub. Love the firepit. Great for roasting marshmallows. Fits 4 adults and 3 kids.

Plenty of hot water for showers, a huge hot tub, and comfy beds - can't think of more we'd want after long days of climbing. The cabin is in the woods and rustic, so "critters" are to be expected, but the place and all linens / beds / furniture were clean and tidy. Great value for the trip!

(Note that 8 really is the limit for guests because even with 7 we felt VERY snug when trying to prep meals and such!)

With three bedrooms, two baths, a good size kitchen table for games, and a nice hot tub, this place was perfect for us. The location is very helpful, as it's a minute from Miguel's Pizza and Natural Bridge State Park. While this wasn't as fancy as some other cabins, this had everything we needed. Also, when we had an issue with a drain, it was easy to stop by the check-in location. The issue was resolved immediately.

This was a cozy cabin that has all the necessities. It was pretty clean, the heating was good, and there were plenty of towels, pillows, and blankets. The kitchen is a little small but there is enough if you need to cook, and there were plenty of utensils and dishes. We didn't use the hot tub but we wish we did! Be aware that this cabin is in the woods so do not be surprised to find various creatures around and in the cabin. It's situated near Natural Bridge and there's tons to see and do around the area!

Overall, the cabin was well stocked and all of the basic necessities were provided. The ONLY issues we encountered were the condition of the hot tub and the cleanliness of specific areas. For instance, the ceiling space was caked with dust and cob webs. In their defense, I can see this being a difficult to reach space. But once you see it, it's hard not to notice it every time you walk in the room. Similarly, the deck area surrounding the hot tub was covered with spider webs and dead bugs. Again, not a shocker given that it's a cabin that backs up directly against a wooded lot, but a simple brooming and hosing of the deck beforehand would go a long way toward making the environment cleaner and more comfortable.

If you go in expecting to stay in a traditional log cabin with some bonus amenities, you will be extremely happy with this cozy space. The look and feel of the cabin is very relaxing and wonderful to relax in water a day of hiking the gorge. Would rent again in the future.

The cabin is conveniently located and has a masculine rustic aesthetic. It's easy to get in and out of since there are very few steps, and everything is on one floor. However, there was a strong mildew-like odor upon arrival, and the bedding had a damp feeling, even though it wasn't wet. Unfortunately, none of the windows opened, so we couldn't air it out. The hottub worked perfectly fine but has definitely seen better days.

It was clean, had a generous amount of towels, well stocked kitchen utensils. We enjoyed our stay - cabin was exactly as advertised.

We absolutely loved our visit! We have stayed at many Air BnB's and this one was exactly what we needed to "get out of the world" and enjoy a nice clean home in nature. We will be back! Thank you!

Great little cute cabin in the gorge. Clean, comfy beds, kitchen essentials provided! It was perfect for our girls weekend… you feel like you are in the middle of the woods but then there’s plenty to do right around where you are. The Mexican restaurant was amazing and of course we ended the trip with Miguel’s Pizza!

This cabin was great, but I didn’t actually deal with Deborah, but rather the Natural Bridge Cabin Comp, and those folks are friendly and awesome.

Deborah did send me a contract to sign ahead of time with an incorrect (higher) amount, but I did not sign it, and per AirBnb, you don’t have to. Nonetheless, that was not a problem and was rectified when I checked in.

In regards to previous reviews, I can say that we had no problems with rodents, and the hot tub was working.

The cabin was pretty perfect for the four of us, but I wouldn’t try to sleep more than 5-6 people (adults) in there, despite the listing saying it can sleep up to 8.

The only knock on the cabin is that the sofas are old and scratchy, and may not be comfortable for some people.

Other than that, the water was hot, the wifi was reliable, the location is PERFECT, and the kitchen was well stocked, even though we didn’t use it much.

Overall, I think the value was fine for what we paid, but we stayed on a holiday weekend and, frankly, you should expect to pay a premium when options are limited in a rural area.

I WOULD stay here again.

Just wanted to tell you we had a great time. We all enjoyed the hiking and the scenery during the day and then our cabin in the evening. The kids had fun with the hot tub and so did the parents. Wonderful couple of days and we're all hoping we can do it again soon.

This time was one of the most beneficial experiences we have had as an organization to grow closer as members and to continue developing our leadership skills-all in an absolutely gorgeous natural setting.
